To the Folks at Pelican. Rapids. Minnesota U. S. A.

Dear Folks One and all, received Your letter to day and was

Glad to know that You were all well. We are pretty well here

At this time and hope this will find You all well too.

We have had a big snow storm here eight or ten inches of snow

But it did not get very cold It is thawing quite a lot to day

But there is lots of snow on the ground yet but it will not

last long the Sun is geting real strong now a few bright days

and it will all be gone I will be glad when it does all go. We

Have had quite a long, cold winter here but We have got through

Pretty well so far and I guess We can make it all right untill

Grass comes then We will be all O.K. I had a letter from Baby

Shaw a few days ago He is located in San Antonio Texas He likes

It pretty well down there I had a letter from Vivian some time

ago He said He would not give a dime for the whole state of

Flordia well It cant be much good down there but They cFlees &

Chiggers all rlght, and wood ticks too..............................

Dwayne Dillavou Is at Tampa Florida His Wife Is with Him now

But We expect Her home soon I guess You remember Him.He is Aunt

Lydias Sisters Grand Son. (Mrs Nora Johnson)

Well I have another Brain storm so here it is

Russia Is real Proud of Her Sons

When They go to bat They make Home runs

But Germany with all Her haste

They very seldom reach first Base

For Them to win I realy Doubt

For I heard the Umpire say Your OUT.

Well supper is over now and it is just about Sundown nice and

Clear and not cold looks like it is going to be nice wind is In

The south. We got a letter from Vida today They are all well

they have had quite a lot of snow out there this winter some-

-thing unusual for that Country but it will not last long now

(Hulda I feel another brain storm comeing on)

Good by united nations We are on Our way

To Japan and Italy and to Germany

We are going and We will not be Home

UntIl We Bomb Yokyo Berlin and Rome

Those three Cities so full of sin

Must be cleaned up without within

We know full well It is no snap

To Bomb those Cities off the Map

We know We have a job to do

We will be back when We get through

So dont You worry and don't You fret

For We are out Their hides to get

So You just wait and You will see

When We get back We will be free

And then at last We hope We can

Say Peace on earth good will to Man
