Was married and lived in Rensselaer County, NY before 1820 when Philena w as born: SOURCE: Sam Ketcham's Biography from Wisconsin, abt 1880 I say John Wickware because he is the only Wickware listed in the Mexic o, Oswego County, NY 1820 Federal Census. in 1860 he is listed as a Farmer with a $200 personal estate. Now then: Mexico, Oswego County, NY. m: Mary Wickware to Simon Tuller 27 July 1820 . Mexico, Oswego County, NY Maria Wickware b. 16 jan 1824 m: 16 Feb 1848 to Ebnezer Gould Whitney d: 29 Nov 1886 OBSERVE: According to the 1850 Census there is a Maria and Ebenezer Whitney livi ng with them, thus I would assume Maria Wickware is his daughter. NOTES ON AGE OF JOHN WICKWARE and ALICE (?): John Wickware b: 1782/3. Sally Ann Wickware b: July 28, 1821. JOHN WICKWARE was 38/39 years ol d. Maria Wickware b: 16 Jan 1824. JOHN WICKWARE was 41/42 years old. Alice (?) b:1784 Sally Ann Wickware b: July 28, 1821. Alice (?) was 37 years old. Maria Wickware b: 16 Jan 1824. Alice (?) was 40 years old.
